Traffolyte or ABS?
Traffolyte was a brand name for multi-layered phenolic plastic sheets suitable for engraving. Each layer was a different colour so engraved letters or shapes would be a different colour from the unengraved portions. Thus it could be used for name tags, labels and signs. Phenolic plastic sheets are cheap to produce, and were very popular in the past. However, phenolic dust is now recognized as a health hazard and so other safe ABS plastics have been manufactured.
ABS double color UV resistant plastic sheet is engraveable by laser or rotary engraving machine.
Application: signboards, switchboard labels, trophy plates, advertising, warning labels, gift arts, information boards and interior decorations.
ABS Engraving Plastics are available in:
- 600mm x 1200mm
- 300mm x 600mm
- 300mm x 600mm with adhesive backing
* All sheets are 1.3mm thickness.
